Our History

Elimu Sacco was registered in 1972 by employees from the Ministry of Education. The Sacco affairs are directed by a Board of Directors (9 members) and overseen by the Supervisory Committee both whom report to the Annual Delegates Meeting.

The Sacco's membership has grown over the years & is currently drawn from staff of various Ministries, employees of TSC, County Government, Educational institutions and other organizations as approved by the board.

The society has over 48,000 members drawn from all over the country since inception. Currently there are over 10,000 active members.

Our headquarters are situated in South B, Elimu House on Mubiru Road off Daidai Road. We have four front offices in Nairobi, Homa Bay, Lodwar, and Busia, but our membership is spread throughout the country.
